Web3

Decentralized internet based on blockchain and digital ownership.

Beginner-friendly explanation

Web3 is a new version of the Internet where users control their own data using blockchain. Instead of relying on big companies, everyone can own part of the network.

Example: Using a crypto wallet to log into a website without giving your email is a Web3 use case.

 Intermediate-level insight

Web3 uses technologies like blockchains, smart contracts, and tokens to enable decentralized applications (dApps). Users can interact directly without a central intermediary.

Example: Accessing a DeFi app to lend or borrow money without using a bank is a Web3 application.

 Advanced perspective

Web3 is a distributed network architecture where identity, ownership, and interaction are validated by decentralized cryptographic systems. It introduces new governance (DAO), funding (ICO, NFT), and native digital value (DeFi, metaverses) models.

Example: Participating in the governance of a platform via DAO tokens is a deep Web3 engagement example.
