Signal based on the crossing of two moving averages.
Beginner-friendly explanation
When a short (fast) line crosses a long (slow) one, it may signal a trend change. Example: If the 9-day average crosses above the 21-day, it may be a buy signal.
Intermediate-level insight
Crossovers signal trend beginnings or ends. The most famous: Golden Cross (50>200), Death Cross (50<200). Example: A daily Golden Cross on Ethereum often attracts long-term buyers.
Advanced perspective
Used in multi-timeframe strategies, MA crossovers can act as directional filters or conditional triggers with other indicators. Example: A strategy combines a 21/55 EMA crossover on H4 with RSI confirmation for a swing trade.
