Accumulation Zone
Stabilization phase where buyers build positions.
Beginner-friendly explanation
An accumulation zone is a period where price stays stable for a while. Traders see this as a sign that buyers are active, even if price hasn’t moved up yet.
Example: A crypto price stays between €0.90 and €1 for several days: that’s accumulation.
Intermediate-level insight
These zones often appear after a strong drop or before an uptrend. They feature rising volume with little price movement — indicating stealth buying by “strong hands”.
Example: After a drop, BTC stays flat at $30,000 with volume spikes: possible accumulation.
Advanced perspective
Accumulation zones are analyzed using Wyckoff concepts: accumulation phases, tests, springs, breakout. They help detect institutional positioning. Tools like OBV, volume profile, or order blocks refine the analysis.
Example: On a 4H chart, price forms a flat base with a spring + OBV rise: Wyckoff-style accumulation zone.
